About Us

Luke and Mike have been working together since 2004 when they shared their original shop space in Emeryville, CA. They officially became partners upon their relocation in 2015 to Treasure Island where they joined a community of metalworkers, architects, designers, lighting professionals and other craftspeople under a single roof at 888H. We do it all, unless we can't do it, then we'll find the person that can.

Our Workshop

Full Metal Shop

Our space is home to some amazing metalworkers, capable of achieving the perfect weld or building the largest structures for Burning Man installations.

CNC 
Our shop houses multiple Computer Numeric Control machines: router, laser, plasma, and waterjet. We have the ability to precisely and accurately cut/shape just about any material you can think of.

Collaboration

Come for the wood, stay for the architect specializing in aluminum fabrication or the UL certified lighting designer who works closely with Coup De'Etat and the metal patina expert responsible for the De Young facade.

FAQ

  • What is your present leadtime?

    Our leadtimes fluctuate quite a bit, but generally you can figure 12-14 weeks.

  • I need a project completed right away, can you do it?

    We love a challenge and have completed numerous jobs, some for Apple, within 48 hours start to finish. We have our own saying "fast, cheap or good, pick two and one can't be cheap."

  • Do you offer a warranty?

    We offer a standard 1 year warranty on all our work save for a few special cases. 

  • Do you install cabinetry and casework?

    In general, no, but we are happy to work with your general contractor to assist in any way we can and we can also refer you to several local millwork installers.

  • Do you offer finishing services?

    We offer various hand applied finishes including, but not limited to, Rubio Monocoat, Osmo Oil, wipe on polyurethane among others. We work with several local vendors for finishes such as conversion varnish, paint and powdercoating.
